What is Aurora Cast?

Aurora Cast is a Finnish-based aurora forecasting and weather service designed to help tourists, photographers, and space weather enthusiasts discover the best moments to view the Northern Lights in Finland and across the Northern Hemisphere.

Scientific Data Sources (E-E-A-T)

Accuracy and transparency are core to our mission. Our spotting calculations and indices rely directly on real-time open data from leading scientific bodies:

• Space Weather & Geomagnetism: NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) Kp-forecast models and solar wind observatories.
• Weather & Cloud Cover: Open-Meteo weather models, utilizing high-resolution forecasts from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) and DWD (Germany).
