Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026.
1. Usage of the Service
By accessing and using the Aurora Cast website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service in full. Usage of this service is permitted solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
2. Forecast Uncertainty and Disclaimer
Important notice regarding aurora forecasts: Auroras depend on highly complex space weather dynamics and solar particle streams which are inherently unpredictable. Aurora Cast aggregates data from public scientific bodies (such as NOAA SWPC and Open-Meteo) and calculates a mathematical estimate (the spotting index).
This calculation is a guiding estimate only and does not guarantee that auroras will be visible at any given time or place. Aurora Cast is not responsible for any direct or indirect losses, travel expenses, or disappointment resulting from forecast inaccuracies.
3. Copyright and Intellectual Property
The visual design, source code, and published article content of this website are the property of Aurora Cast and protected by copyright laws. Copying or publishing any content without written permission is strictly prohibited.
4. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. By continuing to use the service after modifications are published, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.
